About Facilities, Maintenance & Cleaning Services

Facilities, Maintenance & Cleaning Services are an essential part of the running of large companies and organisations such as schools, councils, hospitals and private businesses. It is concerned with core areas such as catering, cleaning, building maintenance, security, waste collection, transportation and more.

Large and sometimes smaller companies and organisations will enlist the services of another company to provide catering for their employees, cleaning facilities or maybe to maintain the building and keep the car park and grounds tidy and free from weeds.

Housing associations are also involved with this type of service, providing care, home support, housing management, property development and estate services to individuals and families where required.

Facilities management is a growing profession in the UK. The range of job roles in this sector are wide and diverse from training and development management, security officer to cleaning supervisor and dining room assistant with plenty more in between.
