About us

Leading Lives is award winning social enterprise which provides social care support for people in the home and in the community across Suffolk and neighbouring counties.

As a not-for-profit business we reinvest any surplus back into services for our customers or into the local community through our Community Benefit Fund. We are an employee owned co-operative with over 20 years’ experience in providing high quality social care and are now one of the top ten social care co-operatives in the UK.

Our Values

We believe that the people we support should lead the lives they choose and that everyone should always be treated with dignity and respect.

Our services include:

Day Services:

Our Community Hubs are the base for a very varied programme of activities. These include learning opportunities and skills development as well as a wide range of leisure opportunities based either at the Hub or at venues in the community. We also offer Night Hubs in most of our locations for young people with autism and learning disabilities to gather, make friends and have fun.

Support to Live at Home:

We can provide more intensive housing based support through our Supported Living Schemes as an alternative to residential care or continuing to live at home. This gives the freedom to live independently whilst still being able to receive our support.

Supported Independence:

Our personalised home care and domiciliary support services are built around the needs of the individual, ranging from a few hours a week to more intensive support. We provide help around the home, housekeeping and personal care and also support customers to do the things they want in the local community and pursue their interests, get out and about and do the things they want to do.

Respite Services:

We can provide different types of short breaks to enable people to enjoy a different experience and break from routine whilst offering family carers a valuable break from their caring responsibilities.

We also offer community outreach, wellbeing services and support in the home.

Careers

Working for Leading Lives offers many opportunities in social care as we provide many different types of support, so you can gain a broad range of experience. We operate at the more skilled and specialised end of the social care market and train our staff accordingly. We encourage professional development and invest in internal and external training with staff gaining The Care Certificate on completion of their formal induction process and are expected to gain further NVQ qualifications.

There is a genuine sense of camaraderie and we are a happy, positive place to work where people can draw on their own talents and enthusiasm. We offer flexible working and the opportunity to gain experience across many different aspects of social care. We are a not-for-profit business so our trading surplus is re-invested back into services for our customers or into the local community through our Community Benefit Fund.
