Overview of Community Action Suffolk

Community Action Suffolk (CAS) is a charity providing support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Suffolk. We help organisations and communities to have a greater impact and enable the VCS to be represented in local decision making.

We help to set up new voluntary organisations, providing training and policies to ensure the best possible start. We support existing organisations and communities by helping them find funding, by training them and giving them the tools to operate more effectively.

We work with organisations to find volunteers, as well as helping individuals to find volunteering opportunities.

We support the public, private and voluntary and community sectors to make communities stronger by working together, and enable the VCS to have a strong voice and to influence decisions affecting it.

Community Action Suffolk’s mission is to strengthen and champion community action in Suffolk by supporting the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in its work.
