HB Commercial are looking for an enthusiastic and willing person to join our Bury St Edmunds team as a Trainee Parts Advisor.
Main description
Full-time role, based out of Bury St Edmunds depot
Work Location: In person
Working Monday – Friday 5 days each week initially 9.00am – 4.30pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays 8.00am – 12.00pm. Hours will increase with progression and experience.
You will be working in a busy Parts team interacting with both trade, retail and general public as the area’s leading independent commercial vehicle service parts | rentals | sales | tyres group.
Daily tasks will include:
The role will see you initially being mentored by one of our experienced parts advisors, introducing you to the various platforms and parts systems we use on a daily basis, you’ll be fully trained in using our parts management software and spend time in our warehouse so you have a full understanding of how our business
operates and work towards becoming a full time parts advisor.
During your training you will be enrolled in various training days at our own in house training centre, each course complementing the practical work you will do in the parts department.
Duties will include;
Assist in managing the stock, stores, returns and warranty of all purchased parts for all makes of van, truck, trailer, PSV as well as tools, PPE and consumables which we sell.
Entry requirements:
Applicants are required to be 18+ have or are predicted to obtain, GCSE at grade 3 in English and Maths (or equivalent). However, if you can demonstrate a keen interest for working with vehicles and willing to develop your skills, you may be considered as a learner.

By the end of your training you will be fully equipped to deal with all enquiries and will have a complete understanding of both truck and trailer parts and will form an integral part of HB Commercial’s parts team.
