We are looking for volunteers to facilitate Lego activities for children.
Did you love Lego as a child?
At Suffolk Libraries volunteers are engaged in a range of activities and support and enhance what we are able to offer. We want to develop an experience which expands our traditional audience, but which also engages new audiences. We are looking to inspire our younger generation through play. Children love to have fun and be creative and we are looking to make that happen at their local library. We are looking to run Lego clubs for children aged 6 to 12 and looking for enthusiastic people to organise and run Lego sessions.
Expectations of the role:
• To engage with parents and children to provide a lively interactive play experience
• To work with the library staff to plan monthly, themed lego sessions
• A commitment of 2 hours per month
Through the above activities, the Lego Support Volunteer will: Encourage creativity through play, Facilitate the sharing of ideas, Plan weekly themes and display childrens work
