Seafast are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Import Operations Assistant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing all aspects of import operations, ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Import Operations Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of import operations.
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely import shipments.
Monitor and track import shipments to ensure compliance with customs regulations and deadlines.
Resolve import-related issues and problems in a timely and effective manner.
Analyze import data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve import operations efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the logistics industry, with a focus on import operations.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Experience in pricing and cost analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
IPAFFS experience or knowledge of SPS controls.
Strong time management skills and the ability to set timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
