About
Jackson held its annual Engineers Day at a sunny Wyboston Lakes near Bedford in September.
It was a chance for engineers across the regions to get together, discuss key issues, listen to a number of presentations, and have a little bit of fun along the way.
The key theme of the morning session was Quality, underlined by an inspiring talk by guest speaker Clement Kwegyir-Afful.
The afternoon session saw the group split into teams before competing in a soapbox go-kart challenge with points given for presentation and speed around the course.
'Engineers Day is the one day engineers can step down from their duties on-site and come together. The morning is more formal where we discuss issues close to the business but even the afternoon is relevant to work on site, mimicking how people with different skills can come together and work towards a common goal.'
