We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our award-winning practice as an Apprentice Dental Nurse. Guildhall Dental is a well-established family practice in the Bury St Edmunds’ community that has been serving the needs of patients in East Anglia for more than 80 years.

We have a long-standing reputation for providing the very best in essential, affordable dental services to families – from general dentistry to complex dental care. The practice mainly specialises in Oral Surgery and Endodontics; however, we also provide Orthodontic, Prosthodontic/Restorative services in addition to general family dental care.

Hours: Full Time 41 Hours per week

Location: Guildhall Dental, St Andrews Street South, IP33 3PH

Key responsibilities & duties

  • Welcoming patients to the surgery.
  • Aiding the allocated Dentist and Hygienist in running the surgery.
  • Preparing all instruments for decontamination and sterilisation in line with the HTM01-05.
  • Ensuring that all relevant materials and supplies are in place.
  • Making notes when the dentist is examining patients.
  • Receptionist duties.

  • The ability to use your initiative.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • A passionate interest for working in Dentistry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office advantageous

Functional Skills in English and Math's Level 2 Qualification essential
(equivalent to GCSE grade 4 C).
