Main description

A fantastic opportunity to train as a construction site engineer/supervisor, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in our Energy business unit. Technical training will be combined with hands on, site-based experience, mentoring, and a range of personal development opportunities

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work

  • Mandatory site health and safety training as required 
  • Understanding management principles and the project management lifecycle  
  • Construction of works as per drawings, ensuring quality control requirements are met and recorded electronically  
  • Plan and schedule the work and efficiently organise the site in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines  
  • Resolve any unexpected difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time  
  • Learn and understand correct documentation control processes and procedures 

Where you’ll work
Our projects are UK wide and can be in rural and remote locations, you will need to be able to commit to visiting sites across England, Scotland and Wales

Training to be provided

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Your training course
Construction site supervisor (level 4) Equal to higher national certificate (HNC)

Your training plan
Alongside the day-to-day role, you’ll attend college on block release in the Midlands every 6-8 weeks to develop your technical knowledge and skills and learn from others in the industry.

Entry Requirements

Essential qualifications
GCSE in: English (grade 4/C or above) and Maths (grade 4/C or above)

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in: IT (grade 4/C or above)

Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
