As an Apprentice Lettings Assistant, you will undertake training to gain a Business Administrator Apprenticeship level 3, whilst obtaining valuable on the job skills and experience to kick start your career.

You will work with Saffron’s Lettings team to work collaboratively with the Housing Management and Asset Management teams to provide an efficient and effective customer focused service and to provide guidance through the lettings process.

About the Department
The Lettings Team is part of the Tenancy Service Team which includes, Housing Management, Income and Wellbeing Teams. The role of the Lettings Team is to let properties that have become empty in line with the relevant policies and procedures and government guidelines. The team works closely with the local authorities in the areas we operate to ensure that allocation of Saffron’s properties is to people who are in the most housing need and that properties are let as quickly as possible to reduce rental loss.

About the Training
Training will be via City College Norwich. Training and assessments are delivered in the workplace and in college.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To undertake and complete a level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
  • Work within the Lettings team to learn on the job knowledge and to gain the appropriate skills to become a fully-fledged Lettings Assistant by:
    • Working with the Lettings Officers to:
      • undertake the lettings of all Saffron’s properties.
      • provide advice and assistance for housing applicants and tenants seeking to exchange properties.
      • ensure that the letting process is undertaken accurately and legally.

  • Good level of general education including GCSE English and Mathematics to grade 4 / C or above, or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics. Although a positive attitude and a willingness to work towards equivalent qualifications is equally important.

Salary

Age 16 – 20 £16,590.95 per annum, Age 21+ £22,069.92 per annum
