Training & Apprenticeships in Construction Ltd (TrAC) is a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will employ you throughout, as well as continuing to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.

Main description

We're looking for a someone to join a busy local, family run team of Independent Financial Advisers as a Client Services Assistant whilst undertaking a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. The successful applicant will be involved in client liaison, general administration, preparation of annual reviews & supporting the IFA team.

The successful applicant will be involved in assisting with the general administration of the company and their focus will be on helping to deliver first class care for the company's clients.

The daily role will contain a lot of variety and will include:

  • Maintaining good relationships with all clients of the business; enhancing the profile of the Company among its clients and wider community
  • Handling new and existing client communications and queries
  • Supporting and dealing with new enquiries and prospects
  • Supporting and dealing with existing client enquiries
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
  • Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
  • Continuous professional development to meet personal development needs
  • General administration tasks such as email handling, telephone calls - both incoming and outgoing, photocopying, data recording and letter writing
  • Simple invoice preparation
  • Ensuring that all processes, procedures and client communications are conducive to a high standard of customer care
  • Supporting the on-boarding of new clients into the business
  • Maintaining existing client review communications
  • Assisting with the processing of new business
  • Assisting with the GDPR processes
  • Assisting with the transition to a ‘paperless office’
  • Working alongside the Client Services Team Leader to support and deal with queries from all clients and from within the company to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction is maintained
  • Acting as a client ‘concierge’ if and when required
  • Supporting the delivery and achievement of the client service standards
  • Client continual improvement feedback communications and maintenance
  • Individual workflow and task delivery
  • Handling the post and monitoring the enquiries inbox
  • Coordinating all aspects of National and International travel arrangements ensuring that they are arranged in the most cost effective and time efficient manner
  • Production of annual review and new business documentation
  • Administration to support the business activities of the Financial Planners/Advisers
  • Maintaining client portfolios

Entry requirements

GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade 4/C) Essential

Business administrator Level 3 (A level)

The apprentice will be working towards a level 3 Business Administration qualification and will receive regular tutor led lessons by means of remote lessons.

Things to consider

The role holder may be required to travel, which could involve working outside office hours.

Future prospects

There is opportunity to move into full-time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
