As an independent business in the heart of East Anglia we have gained an enviable reputation with customers looking for a relaxed and friendly service, providing good value quality food and accommodation, across both of our hotels, Breckland Lodge and The George Hotel, making them ideal place to stay whilst exploring Norwich and surrounding areas which are steeped in history and offer the most amazing places to visit.
Accommodation
Having recently undergone a full refurbishment, all our rooms are en suite and provide free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities, with our double rooms offering air-conditioning. 'The Garden House' is a private apartment set within a walled garden just outside the hotel and we're proud to offer both accessibility featured and dog-friendly rooms too! Whether looking for standard or deluxe accommodation, our customers can find a room suitable for most requirements and budgets. Onsite parking is available for up to 43 cars and it's proximity to the city centre (10 to 15 minutes walk) makes it an ideal place to stay whilst visiting Norwich and surrounding areas.
Dining and food
Within the hotel is our excellent Arlington coffee lounge and bistro, serving award winning food all day. We believe we have created a perfect relaxed meeting place for breakfast, coffee mornings, brunch, lunch, afternoon teas, after work drinks and nibbles and of course dinner, where customers can dine from our bistro menu or ever changing specials board.
Events
Our Newmarket room at The George Hotel is an ideal business venue for both conferences and meetings as well as functions and events. The room has the capacity to seat up to 70 guests theatre style, 40 boardroom and class room style and up to 110 for standing buffets and 60 guests for sit down meals. The room itself is fully accessible and offers natural daylight and air conditioning.
