About us
The Freston Boot is a lovingly restored gem of a pub in a beautiful countryside setting. With a friendly feel and a lot of character we showcase pub classics, craft ale, cask beers and open air garden kitchen.
Our kitchen garden provides seasonal produce for our dedicated kitchen brigade, so customers can always expect delicious food using locally sourced game, meat and seafood. We make sure that we make or produce everything we possibly can. So, for example, all of our bread and ice-cream is home-made and our resident hens and apple yard ducks supply us with fresh eggs.
We are proud of our 17th century building and the work we have done to make it The Boot.
We have created a traditional pub in our wonderful 17th century building and given it a modern twist but in a clean and responsible way, creating a wonderful environment for the whole family to relax and enjoy our fresh food.
We have an animal farm trail for the kids, a kitchen garden our very own native bees, a wedding paddock, a roundhouse, a giant tipi and a retro mini cinema.
Our wedding receptions are tailored to the couple and we can cater to nearly any request. Couples can spend their day in one of the most charming and relaxed settings in Suffolk then spend the evening under a tipi or round the fire. Little ones visit our animal trail and guests can chill out in your own personal cinema.
We're also the first cashless pub in the UK!
Working for us
We at The Boot are a positive-attitude, hard working, young and friendly bunch of 35 people. The kitchen is fast paced and always achieves a high standard. There is no hierarchy here and every member of the team is valued and will receive the right training to achieve their very best. We have staff here who started with very little experience who now fill some of our more senior roles. No two days are the same and we thrive on fresh challenges every day throws at us. It’s all part of the fun!
If we sound like the kind of place you’d enjoy, whether Front of House or in the kitchen, please send your CV to sarah@thefrestonboot.co.uk
