About Us
Supporting and Developing Football in Suffolk Since 1885
Suffolk FA is the not-for-profit, governing body of football in Suffolk. We grow participation, promote diversity and regulate the sport for everyone to enjoy.
With over 300 clubs with diverse players of all ages and abilities playing in the county, Suffolk FA is proud to support football for all.
Mission Statement
Suffolk FA's vision is 'A Thriving Local Game'.
We will work with the whole local football community to support, develop and strengthen our game to achieve the vision of football in Suffolk, based on their motivations, expectations and needs.
Volunteering
Grassroots football wouldn’t exist without volunteers - From secretaries and coaches, to line markers and tea makers, local clubs need volunteers to keep running.
There are loads of benefits to volunteering, including:
- Building your CV
- Making new friends from all walks of life
- Working as a team towards a goal
- Providing more opportunities in the local community
- Personal development
There are lots of different roles required to run a football club, from physical roles such as coach, to behind the scenes roles such as secretary. Take a look at some of the roles that you can get involved in and a brief explanation of their responsibilities. Find out how you could get into volunteering here.
Opportunities for Young Volunteers
Suffolk FA offer different pathways for young people to get involved and help gain knowledge and experience. If you are aged 16-24, you have the opportunity to get involved in the Suffolk FA Youth Council. We are always looking for young people who want to learn more about working for their county FA and can provide work experience opportunities throughout the season.
