About Us
Snape Maltings sits on the bank of the River Alde, surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and just six miles from Aldeburgh. Our beautiful heritage site, with its converted Victorian buildings, is home to independent shops and galleries, wonderful places to eat, and several performance venues – including the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall.
Our aim is simple: to be useful to people. We run a wide range of pioneering projects that make the most of music’s ability to bring joy to people’s lives.
We offer opportunities for people to realise their potential, tailored to groups including young musicians, professional artists, schools, prison residents, and people living with conditions affecting their health and wellbeing.
Education and work with our local communities have been at the heart of our mission for more than 50 years, and this is reflected in our national leadership roles in the areas of Music and Health and Talent Development.
