With over 3 decades of experience, John Doe is a family-run carpet, furniture and homewares business based at our purpose built 40,000 sq. ft showroom in Diss. Employing over 50 staff, we are dedicated to providing expert advice and a personal service to our customers and take tremendous pride in the company's excellent reputation.

History

John Doe first opened his carpet business in February 1983 after 19 years as a carpet representative. John's wife Angela soon joined him, closely followed by their sons Edward and Charles.

By 1993 the company was operating from a town centre shop and four warehouses and had diversified by selling beds and furniture alongside the successful carpet business.

By 2008 the company was achieving significant year-on-year growth and the decision was made to design their own purpose-built showroom, measuring a huge 40,000 sq. ft. at Sawmills Road, Diss. The impressive new showroom was opened in April 2011.

Today, Edward and Charles are running the business, allowing their parents to enjoy a happy retirement and there is now a 3rd generation of the Doe family adding to the family's success - Charles' eldest son Nathan joined the company in Summer 2014 and his sister Megan has recently followed.

The business has continued to thrive despite the economic climate and it now supplies customers throughout East Anglia. The company currently employs over 50 staff, who are all dedicated to providing expert advice and a personal service to all their customers.
