About us

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is a local government district in Norfolk. With our main office location being in the centre of Great Yarmouth we provide services to people who live, work and run their businesses in the coastal region running from Hopton – on – Sea, up the coast past Winterton – on – Sea, then sweeping in land to near Acle and Fritton.

We have big plans for the future and massive opportunities ahead. With over £240m capital investment in the Borough happening over the next four years, we have an incredibly ambitious agenda. We have one of the most successful enterprise zones in the country. Great Yarmouth is England's offshore energy hub and Norfolk's biggest seaside resort at the edge of the Broads National Park, with a tourism economy worth more than £635m annually. The challenges we face in the Borough are wide, but our commitment to driving a programme of change has never been more focused.

Working with partners, both locally and nationally, the Council is driving forward an exciting area-based agenda.
