Our Purpose
At CVS Group plc we have a clear purpose, vision and strategy which guides how we operate as a company and sets out a clear direction we are working towards.
We asked our colleagues what they felt our purpose was and they gave as a clear answer, “our purpose is to give the best possible care to animals”.
Wherever colleagues are in our company, in the UK, Ireland or the Netherlands, in our veterinary practices, laboratories, crematoria, MiPet Cover pet insurance, The Healthy Pet Club, Animed Direct and in our support service teams, they are helping us to give the best possible care to animals.
Our Vision
Colleagues also contributed to our vision to ensure we deliver on our purpose.
Our vision is that we want to be the veterinary company people most want to work for.
This will help us to attract the very best people to enable us to achieve our purpose of delivering the best possible care to animals.
We have clear measures in place to check that we are on track to achieve this, and we share these with our colleagues and the public.
We have four strategic pillars, through which we will deliver our vision and achieve our purpose.
Our strategic pillars
- We recommend and provide the best clinical care every time.
- We are a great place to work and have a career.
- We provide great facilities and equipment.
- We take our responsibilities seriously.
These pillars will stretch us and we are committed to having clear goals to ensure that we focus on delivering them.

It provides mentoring at practice level with a national support network, including the opportunity to meet up with other new graduates on a regular basis, and an introduction to life as a vet from both a clinical and business perspective.
