About Us
Established in December 2016 as Bury St Edmunds Canine Creche we brought the world of dog day care to Bury St Edmunds in a storm winning multiple awards along the way.
We quickly gained the trust and love of the community by caring for dogs big and small, providing valuable insight, advice and guidance on all things dog! With charity initiatives and support within the local community we fast became the go to doggy experts.
Owner Jon established the widely recognised #DogFriendlyBSE scheme with the goal of making Bury St Edmunds the most dog friendly place in the country and us as dog owners and the businesses that support the initiative, have seen the benefits ever since as it continues to grow in popularity.
May 2019 we evolved into Camp Tails Doggy Daycare looking again to break the mould with creative and fun ideas and themes to create the best environment for our customers dogs.
We Make Dogs Happy is our motto and we are proud to be an important part of our local community.
We love their dogs like they are our own and they fast become family members to the whole team of carers.
Careers
We look for people who have enthusiasm and passion for animals. We don’t take people who expect to just come and cuddle dogs. We offer far more to our canine visitors that requires alertness, attentiveness and a responsible attitude to ensure we have the safest environment possible. You will be playing with and cleaning up after dogs all day and need to enjoy it. It isn’t for everyone and we are very selective of whom we allow into our environment.
If you think you have what it takes and stand out, we accept CV’s with a personal statement – Tell us why you would be great at Camp Tails. If we like what we see your details will be kept on file and contacted about any future opportunities!
Apprenticeships
It is rare that we hire someone without them completing an apprenticeship with us first, full and part time positions are first offered to those on completion of apprenticeships hence they rarely come available. This not only helps us build a great team but also ensures we have a great base of skills and knowledge to look after the dogs.
Work Experience
We annually support work experience placements from local colleges for students studying animal care level 2 and above aged 16 years old and above. Placements are limited and very popular filling fast. All candidates will need to interview and complete a floor trial prior to acceptance of a placement.
