About us
Breheny was established in 1963, since then we have grown to provide civil engineering services to almost two thirds of the country from our offices in Suffolk, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
Since our creation, we have worked on diverse, award-winning projects across England, covering many different specialisms of civil engineering. We are experts in highways and bridges, river and marine, utilities and energy, rail, and environmental sectors. Our directly employed workforce and owned plant and fleet allow us to be operationally resilient, proactive and continuously improve our high standards.

Apprenticeships
We offer a range of apprenticeships, which combine theoretical learning and practical workplace experience.
Examples of apprenticeships we offer:
Apprentice Site Operative
You will gain experience working on sites that encompass all of our different work types. You will be mentored by some of our most experienced and knowledgeable workforce, who will provide you with the practical skills essential for your development in Civil Engineering.
In addition, you will attend college, through either day or block release, where your knowledge and skills will be further developed.
Apprentice Plant Operator
You will receive practical training on a variety of Civil Engineering plant items. This will be backed up by training at college on block release, which will result in achieving NVQ level certification.
Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician
This apprenticeship gives you a broad, but thorough understanding of Civil Engineering.
Over a period of 3 years, through a combination of on-site experience and block release college training, you will develop the basic skills required to become a site setting out engineer and potential site supervisor.
