An offshore wind project manager will oversee the construction of the wind farm from site selection to the final installation of turbines. Their main goals will be to keep the project within budget, on schedule and to specification. They will need to be familiar with virtually all aspects of wind development including, site selection, environmental studies, permission processes, transportation of turbine parts and construction of the wind turbines.
A degree in construction management, engineering, or another relevant subject is usually required.
In addition to the many technical skills needed, soft skills such as leadership, communicating and listening, conflict management, time management and organisation are also important.
Salary range £50k to £80k
