An agricultural specialist is responsible for providing technical advice, guidance, and expertise to farmers and agricultural producers to help them increase yields, improve the quality of their products, and maximise profits.
They will educate farmers on sustainability and how nature can help with boosting soil fertility, controlling pests and protecting crops from floods and droughts.
You will usually need a degree in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture, plant science or a related field, as well as experience using precision agricultural tools and technology and knowledge of crop production, soil science, pest management and agronomic practices.
Salary range £34k to £64k
