Main description

An exciting and varied apprenticeship as part of a team providing IT support to a wide range of companies in and around Cambridge. The role will include helping end users with IT issues, preparing and installing new equipment, managing and securing IT systems, and provide a perfect platform for a career in IT.

  • As an apprentice you will work within our busy service desk team, supporting them in their day to day activities and helping clients with their IT queries
  • You will be troubleshooting and diagnosing IT issues, talking with clients and assisting over the phone and via remote connections. You will be involved with IT systems administration, handling tasks such as setting access permissions, password and MFA resets, and account setups
  • There will also be the opportunity to work with our projects team, preparing and configuring new machines for deployment and helping them deliver new systems for clients
  • As well as learning and gaining real world experience on the job, you will also attend a local college one day a week to complete a Level 3 Information Technology qualification

Entry requirements

GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade C/4) Essential

Information communications technician Level 3 (A level)

The Apprentice will gain their Information Communications Technician (Level 3) Apprenticeship
There will also be access to our online training platform, and an opportunity to gain Microsoft qualifications

Future prospects

Following the successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there would be an opportunity to join the 4Cambridge team full-time
