Buxted Construction is a civil engineering and groundworks contractor formed in 1994. We have around 500 employees working on approximately 30 sites in the southeast of England. Our clients are generally large volume house such as Barratt Homes, Bellway Homes, and Redrow Homes.
Main description
Buxted Construction are offering 7 new staff members a Level 2 Groundwork Apprenticeship where you will learn skills required for the infrastructure on new build development sites, over the course of 18 months. Buxted actively looks to promote, and this is a genuine opportunity for career development. Several of our foreman and machine operators started as apprentices.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Slab laying
Kerb laying
Digging foundations
Laying drainage
General labour work to help keep the site tidy and organised
Brickwork
Levelling and setting out

Training to be provided
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in: English (grade 3-9 D-A) and Maths (grade 3-9 D-A)
