Main description

As an Administrator Apprentice you will start to learn and develop your knowledge and skills ready to progress your career within the business. Initially, you will spend time learning the relevant systems, processes and standards used on a day-to-day basis. You will also be well placed to learn more about our business and industry as a whole.

  • Learn the basic roles and responsibilities within the practice
  • Manage the telephone system
  • Ensure all folders on servers are maintained to team standards
  • Attend Induction training
  • Observing and shadowing experienced colleagues
  • Put all formal training and coaching into practice
  • Take feedback on board and implement development actions within agreed timeframe
  • Attend and participate in team training sessions
  • Communicate effectively and in a professional manner
  • Produce email and written communications to a high standard, which are accurate and grammatically correct
  • Clearly convey key information and messages to internal colleagues at all levels
  • Liaise with clients across all areas of the business
  • Offer to help willingly and show flexibility to meet the needs of the team
  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining the service standards delivered by the team
  • Engage with all communication platforms across our business
  • Deliver administrative and clerical tasks across the business
  • Handle telephone enquiries in a professional manner, in line with the business standards
  • Manage administrative processes
  • Manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Prepare and edit letters, reports, and emails
  • Diary management
  • Meet deadlines and SLAs appropriate to your role
  • Monitor and replenish sundry office supplies and stationery
  • Responsible for ensuring office is ready for business daily

Entry requirements

GCSE or equivalent 5 passes in total (including English & maths) (Grade 4/C or above) Essential

Level 3 Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship standard.

The Financial Services Administrator apprenticeship is ideal for learners beginning an entry level role in the financial sector.

As an entry level role, this apprenticeship provides the foundation knowledge, skills and experience for progression along a number of career paths. 

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • A broad understanding of the financial services sector
  • An understanding of the role of the appropriate regulatory bodies
  • The importance of relationship building with clients and colleagues
  • Understanding of processes and procedures relevant to the role
  • How to develop commercial awareness
  • Building skills and capabilities within an organisation

Professional Qualifications:

CF1 - awarded by The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
Completion of CF1 will provide a solid foundation for the learner and can lead on to progression to study in other areas
