Reed Forwarding are a small family run freight forwarding and warehousing company based in Bury St Edmunds. They have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Administrator to join the team.
You will be assisting colleagues in the office as well as liaising with the Warehouse team as required.
Day to day duties include:
• Answering the phone and taking bookings or assisting with queries and passing onto colleagues.
• Stock control.
• Preparing orders and arranging UK haulage.
• Assisting with shipping administration including customs declarations and proof of shipments.
• Create sales invoices and process supplier invoices.
• Other administration duties including updating spreadsheets and recording data accurately.
Entry requirements
GCSE grade C (4) or above in Maths and English, or equivalent, is desirable.

Team working
Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
We are a small team and all help where necessary including occasionally assisting in warehouse duties. The ideal candidate would be someone who has great team spirit and willingness to get stuck in to tasks at hand.
Future Prospects
On successful completion of apprenticeship, and based on performance, we would be looking to offer a permanent position with Reed Forwarding.
