Avant Tecno (UK) Ltd was started in 1999, it sells multi compact loaders and Leguan spider lifts to end users through our network of regional dealers in the UK and Ireland. Avant Loaders have over 200 attachments which can be fitted to the loaders to enable them to undertake a vast amount of tasks for a variety of users, which include farmers, landscape gardeners, horse owners and local authorities. The Avant Tecno family is a small team who work closely together for the benefit of our dealer network, customers and each other. We will soon be relocating to our newly built site in Bury St Edmunds which is purpose built and has fantastic facilities.
Main description
The Avant Tecno family is a small team who work closely together for the benefit of our dealer network, customers and each other. We will soon be relocating to our newly built site in Bury St Edmunds which is purpose built and has fantastic facilities. We are currently looking for an apprentice Administration Assistant to join our team.
Your role will be to support the Administrator with Avant Team administration and ensure customers receive top quality service, which will include:
· Reception duties
· To answer the telephone and deal with customers face to face, in a professional manner, referring them on to other departments as necessary.
· To order/make refreshments for visitors and events/training courses
· To organise meetings and ensure resources and equipment are available
· To undertake the review of systems and processes and make suggestions for improvements.
· To undertake projects as required.
· To answer customer queries in a timely manner
· To support the administrator with sales orders internally and externally.
· To support the administrator with preparing and processing invoices
· To prepare paperwork to meet customs requirements
· To arrange goods collections
· To register all loaders on the HMRC website and update the NOVA (notification of Vehicle arrivals) spreadsheet.
· To ensure quality checks on machines are received from the technical department and information recorded on the NOVA spreadsheet.
· To provide road registration documentation as per dealer’s request
· To ensure all records and paperwork are completed and filed accordingly.
· Take minutes at staff meetings.
· To complete data input as required
· To carry out filing and photocopying
· To order supplies
· To keep the office tidy and organised
· To carry out other administration duties as required
Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 5-9) Desired
Personal skills and qualities
Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Team working

Business administrator Level 3 (A level)
- The learner will be studying the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Functional skills will be studied if current required qualifications are not met.
- Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.
Things to consider
As an administrator, you will be working under the direct supervision of an experienced administrator. We are a small team, and we always help each other. At times you may be needed to help in other departments.

The opportunity to attend training to enhance your skills and knowledge. The opportunity for a full-time position, dependent on performance and completion of the apprenticeship. At Avant we are looking for an apprentice to say with us long term so we can develop and grow them to obtain their full potential.
