About Training and Development

Training and Development is all about educating and instructing employees in a business environment to teach them new skills and knowledge which will help with their ongoing development. This could be working for a large organisation in the HR department or working for an independent training company.

Training is required in many different industries including energy, marine, engineering, hospitality, construction, in fact most industries will require their employees to have some sort of training and development at some stage.

You could be training construction workers to work safely at heights, survival training for the offshore industry, media training for the marketing team, IT training or training in business skills to name but a few.

Whatever type of trainer you are interested in becoming you will need to have experience and be an expert in your specialism. Some areas of training will require a degree and others may be accessed through experience and working your way up.
