About Food Research

Food Research is about food safety, understanding the relationship between food and health, the sustainability of the food chain in order to produce safe, healthy foods and to help prevent disease. It also looks at food waste and how to turn plant based waste into sustainable biofuels and chemicals.

The Institute of Food Research is part of the Norwich Research Park which includes the UEA (University of East Anglia), the John Innes Centre, The Genome Analysis Centre and the Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital. There are over 40 businesses within the Norwich Research Park take a look at the park directory to see who they are and what they have to offer!

There are often a number of graduate and post-doctoral research scientist positions available at the various institutes on the Norwich Research Park as well as managerial, administrative, technical and manual, follow the link to find out what is available.
