About Food Research
Food Research is about food safety, understanding the relationship between food and health, the sustainability of the food chain in order to produce safe, healthy foods and to help prevent disease. It also looks at food waste and how to turn plant based waste into sustainable biofuels and chemicals.
The Institute of Food Research is part of the Norwich Research Park which includes the UEA (University of East Anglia), the John Innes Centre, The Genome Analysis Centre and the Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital.
