Youth Collaborators for Pride in Place.
What is Pride in Place?
Pride in Place is a long-term UK Government programme that puts local people in charge of improving their neighbourhoods.
Main description
Each Pride in Place area can receive up to £20 million over 10 years to invest in the things that matter most to local residents — like public spaces, community buildings, high streets, safety, services and local activities.
Ipswich is proud to have two Pride in Place areas, each with £20million investments to make:
Stoke Park and Chantry
Whitehouse
Volunteering Matters and the #iWill Movement are supporting Pride in Place in Stoke Park & Chantry and Whitehouse, helping ensure local people are at the heart of decisions about their communities.
We’ll be working with Community Connectors and local residents to gather ideas and feedback, while also supporting six Youth Collaborators to help design engagement activities and champion youth voice throughout the project.
About the role
As a Youth Collaborator you help design the look and feel of the programme, create content, and help run community events.
Entry requirements
You must be aged 14-25 years of age and live in Ipswich is the areas above
You must have a genuine interest in where you live.
No other experience is needed as full training, support and travel costs are all provided
In return you will be paid a salary for your contribution
