About
Jackson Northern region Senior Quantity Surveyor Rebecca Daykin picked up a ‘Rising Star’ award at the Inspiring Women in Construction & Engineering Awards earlier this week.
She won the award after making a significant contribution to the Colwick Fish Pass project - a £10m scheme for the Environment Agency to build the country's largest fish pass on the River Trent at Colwick Country Park near Nottingham.
The judges said Rebecca “showed great foresight in addressing unforeseen inflation issues early on” and a focus on “upskilling and serving as a positive role model for women in her company.”
A “standout moment” was when “Rebecca stepped up to solve a challenging defect outside her main role, providing a practical solution that saved time and money."
