University of Brighton student Josh Davis has received a prestigious award from the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) for his exceptional performance during a year-long industrial placement with Jackson.
Josh, who is studying for a Master of Engineering degree, received the Most Promising Industrial Placement accolade at the CECA Awards ceremony in London, beating off strong competition to wow the judges with his initiative, mentoring skills and ability to inspire others while working with the team at the Port of Dover in the Southern Region.
His drive, adaptability, and forward-thinking approach clearly differentiated him from his peers and marked him out as a future leader in civil engineering construction.
Kevin Valentine, CECA Southern Chair, commented: “Josh is a rising star within our industry and is a notable example to others that with hard work, young people can excel and build lasting and meaningful careers in civil engineering construction."
