Jackson Civil Engineering and supply chain partner TCP Eco have been recognised for their environmental excellence by winning an International Green Apple Environment Award, a global accolade that recognises environmental best practice across all industry sectors.
Selected from over 1,200 nominations worldwide, Jackson Civil Engineering and TCP Eco have been working together for three years, promoting the use of low carbon hydrogen fuel cells (HFCs) to power site compounds. Initially working with the Environment Agency to run site cabins and reduce noise and pollution for local residents, they have developed the use of HFCs to power pumps, lighting and power tools.
Jackson’s Environmental Lead Andrew Campbell and TCP Director Joe Ambor received their award at Kensington Palace in London on Monday November 18. The award was presented by Helen Kitchen, Business Development Manager of Yealands Wines of New Zealand – winners of the 2024 Green World Environment Awards.
The Green Apple Awards are organised by The Green Organisation, a non-profit environmental group established in 1994.
