Main description

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship and be paid to train as an Inclusive Learning Assistant. The role works with a range of students with different support needs across the college, day release to attend training, various opportunities for progression across not only West Suffolk College but Eastern Education Group.

This role could lead onto becoming:

Learning Mentor: Guide students with social, emotional, or behavioral
challenges.

Classroom Support Worker: Assist with various aspects of classroom
management.

Early Years Practitioner: Work with young children in nurseries or
preschools.

After-School Club Supervisor: Organize and supervise activities in
after-school programs.

Home-School Link Worker: Facilitate communication between schools
and parents.

Progression to Higher Education: Pursue additional qualifications to
become a fully qualified teacher.

Entry requirements

Good standard of general education including Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (literacy/numeracy) or a willingness to work towards achieving these.

Training to be Provided

The learner will be studying the Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

Long-term. Employment as a Inclusive Learning Assistant , many other opportunities across Eastern Education Group Teaching Assistant (TA): Support teachers in primary or secondary schools. SEN Teaching Assistant: Specialize in helping students with special educational needs. One-to-One Support Assistant: Provide personalized assistance to individual students. Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
