Established with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of support, TrueArk Healthcare has become a trusted name in the healthcare industry. They are currently looking for a Homecare Assistant apprentice to join their team.
Main description
What you will do in your working day
Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing) and continence care (toileting and catheter care)
Preparing meals and drinks
Administering medication
Using moving and handling equipment
Liaising with GPs, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and other professionals
Working with members of the team on a daily basis
Identifying causes for concern with our customers and reporting to management
Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4-9) Desired
Desired skills and personal qualities
Communication skills, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness
Training Provided
West Suffolk College
Lead adult care worker Level 3 (A level)
The learner will be studying the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
Day release to West Suffolk College
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held
Things to consider
Homecare requires individuals to work in the community, moving between houses in a given location. One of the requirements is to have a full driving license and access to a car.
