Main description
You will be involved in varied areas of construction, mitigating environmental issues on-site. The apprenticeship will include block release to university to gain a degree in Environmental Management, professional membership qualifications and on-the-job training.
What you'll do at work
- Daily monitoring for environmental permitting (water sampling, inspections, site checks and watercourse inspections)
- Admin, assistance with reporting and data entry (Word and Excel) - waste data reporting, carbon footprint collation (using Moata and internal project systems)
- Creating graphics and posters for the site (PowerPoint) to help us monitor our progress with company, client and project targets
- Creating and assisting with the delivery of Toolbox talks
- Ecological walkovers and checks, and assistance with BNG (Biodiversity Net Gain) related issues
- Supporting the engineering team with the collation of the Materials Management Plan (MMP) tracking and verification
- Assistance with collating key project lessons learned
Training to be provided
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

You will be based on a construction site and PPE use will be required for site visits.
