Main description
Boardley & Roberts Ltd specialised in repairs/renewals of all types of electrical rotating machinery. They are currently looking for an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering apprentice to join and learn within their team.
Main Duties:
Dismantling/ repairing of AC & DC rotating machinery. Electric motors, pumps, fan units.
Attending site as part of a team to carry out removals & refits.
Repairs/ renewals of all electrical rotating machinery. Electric motors, pumps, fan assy’s, AHU’s, site maintenance, site repairs/ removals/ refits.
Day to day contact- Gavin Whitehouse (workshop co-ordinator)
Would be one of 8 engineers within the company.
Entry requirements
GCSE maths and English at grades 5 or above - Essential
Either an Electrical or Mechanical knowledge would be preferred but not essential.

Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
Things to consider
Good rates of pay once qualified. Early starts and late finishes on occasion (flexibility required). Lots of in house ‘on the job’ training. Stable company now past one hundred years of trading.
Future Prospects
Opportunity for a full time role on completion. Opportunity to head up a ‘Site team’. Opportunity to lead a workshop team.
