GTC, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for an Apprentice to join their Design team based in Woolpit.
This is the perfect opportunity for hard working, talented individuals who are looking to build a career within utilities design engineering. You will undergo further learning to complete a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Electrical Power Networks with our partnered college, whilst gaining valuable experience in a variety of areas of our business.
Upon completion of your three-year apprenticeship you will have experience in the following disciplines -
- Network Records: Working with our construction colleagues to receive as-laid records, and ensure that the live GTC records are up to date.
- Project Co-ordination: Working with Project Officers, the crucial back-office support for our design activities, to find out what is needed from our clients.
- Multi-Utility Design: The design team who produce compliant designs for multiple utilities within the boundaries of the client’s site.
- Contestable Design: The design team who produce the design for offsite enabling electrical works.
- Land Rights: Understand key concepts of land rights and their impact on the work that we undertake.
About you
- Level 3 qualification in Engineering or A Levels in Maths and/or Science
- Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 (or above) including English, Maths and Science
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to use MS Office programmes or equivalent
