December marks 10 years since Billy Read joined us! He started at the age of 19 on a temporary 8 week placement which quickly turned into a permanent position as a Goods In Operative at Fison Way.
4 years later Billy moved into the role of Purchasing & IT Assistant 4 years later, building strong relationships with our key suppliers. In 2022 he was promoted to his current role of Senior Buyer, eventually relocating to the Finance office in January 2023. Today he oversees the purchasing team, balancing cost against quality and delivery, whilst ensuring the goods arrive early enough to be in time for manufacture.
Most recently Billy completed his ILM L3 Award in Leadership and Management and introduced an Approved Supplier onboarding process – the latter having become a key requirement for many of our clients.
