Athona Education are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and confident individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Suffolk and Norfolk.
This is a great opportunity for college students, graduates or anyone considering a career in education to gain valuable experience working in a school environment. We have full time and part time roles available
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will support schools by supervising classes when teachers are absent. You will use pre-set lesson materials, ensure students remain engaged with their work and help maintain a positive learning environment.
You will be responsible for leading classes and supporting students throughout the school day, so confidence, good communication and a positive approach are important.
Previous school experience is desirable but not essential. We are happy to support individuals who are looking to take their first steps into education.
Entry requirements
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or a relevant childcare qualification
Personal skills
- Confidence working with groups of young people
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A reliable and professional approach
The ability to work independently
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
An interest in working within education
