Do you enjoy working with numbers? Do you want to manage the finances of multi-million-pound projects?
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The Commercial Quantity Surveying teams within Wates Group are largely responsible for the contractual and financial management of a project. A combination of law, business and finance skills are used to manage relationships with key stakeholders including clients, designers, sub-contractors and suppliers. Our commercial teams play a vital role in the construction of our projects.

Essential qualifications
2 A-Levels or equivalent at grades DD, and a minimum (grade DD)
Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Training to be provided
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
