Joining babyballet® is about much more than teaching dance. It is an opportunity to help young children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and self-belief while creating a fun and nurturing environment where they can thrive.

As a babyballet® teacher, you will be part of a supportive and passionate team, delivering classes
filled with music, imagination, and achievement. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing development, and continued support, giving you the skills and confidence to succeed.

If you are enthusiastic, caring, and passionate about inspiring young children, babyballet® offers a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference while sharing your love of dance

Main description

Being a babyballet® teacher is a highly rewarding role thatcombines dance, imagination, and early years education. Teachers are responsible for delivering engaging, creative classes for babies and pre-school children, helping them develop confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love of movement.

The role requires energy, warmth, professionalism, and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment.  Teachers must also build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers.  Although babyballet® is not a traditional ballet syllabus, our programme introduces early dance foundations in a way that
encourages self-belief, creativity, expression, and positive learning behaviours.

Key Responsibilties

  • Deliver engaging babyballet classes in line with brand standards.
  • Create a welcoming, and inclusive environment for children and families.

  • Support children’s confidence, coordination, and early learning development.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and class management.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned at the end of each session.
  • Attend ongoing training and development sessions.

Personal Qualities

  • Fun, vibrant, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for working with pre-school children.
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual.
  • Creative, imaginative, and confident when leading groups of young children.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Calm, patient, and encouraging approach.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with pre-school children (dance, teaching, childcare or similar).
  • Ability to choreograph simple, age-appropriate routines
  • Relevant ballet or dance training.
  • Ability to engage both children and parents effectively

Desirable: previous teaching experience in a dance or early years setting

Recruitment and Training Process

  • Following an informal interview, successful candidates will be invited to attend an audition where they will have to teach a couple of chosen exercises to a class. At this audition they will have the opportunity to observe classes to gain an understanding of the babyballet® teaching approach.
  • Candidates who are considered suitable and wish to progress will enter a structured training period, working alongside an experienced babyballet® teacher. This stage is designed to build confidence, develop teaching skills, and ensure consistency with brand standards.
  • During training, candidates will be asked to demonstrate the songs and exercises they have learnt, leading up to teaching a full class independently.
  • Participation in training does not constitute a job offer. A formal contract will only be issued once all training has been successfully completed and the candidate is assessed as suitable for the role.
  • The training period takes at least 6 weeks, but could be longer, depending on individual progress and readiness to teach independently.
  • Candidates invited to continue beyond the observation stage will be paid during the training period.
  • At any stage, progression may be paused or discontinued if it is felt that the role is not the right fit.
  • Once the Franchisee is satisfied that the required standard has been met, a formal job offer will be
    made
