The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role
Responsible for assisting with tendering, subsequent placing and management of various Sub Contact works packages during both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project.
- To assist the Project Quantity Surveying Team in the carrying out of any pre or post-contract quantity surveying functions.
- Assist in the preparation of sub-contract orders from the preparation of the tender enquiry through to the placement of the sub-contract order, including liaising with the Procurement Department
- Attendance at post tender subcontract interviews.
- Measurement of building and civil engineering works.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly valuation of the works.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts.
Entry requirements
- BSc Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or working towards this.
Main Contractor work experience would be ideal.
A good understanding of measuring quantities in a construction related environment.
Familiarity with electronic contract administration tools is desirable.
