Main description
We are a specialist engineering workshop offering sheet metal fabrication, welding, and light engineering, with a focus on competition cars and motorcycles. The team are looking to recruit for an Apprentice sheet metal worker and fabricator.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Read drawings, pick material, cut, fold, grind and weld.
- Clean and inspect completed work.
- Materials used are steel, aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and Inconel.
- Contact with all members of staff and report to Richie.
- Applicant will work within all aspects of the workshop.
Entry requirements
Desirable:
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 3-9)

Training to be provided
The learner will be studying the Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College
Things to consider
The apprentice will be hands on with rare and interesting vehicles. The work will be vary varied and all workshop based in a small friendly team.
Future prospects
Full time role at the completion of the apprenticeship.
