Employer description
Precision Made Joinery Ltd work on behalf of Private Homeowners, Construction Contractors, Architects and Interior Designers creating everything from Doors and Windows to Kitchens and Bedroom Cabinetry. They are currently looking for an apprentice Joiner to join and learn within their team.
Main description
As an Apprentice Joiner your key responsibilities would include, being on hand to help the team with any projects currently in production.
The role will develop in terms of responsibilities as your knowledge and abilities grow, you can progress with spraying, using machinery, and handling small aspects of larger projects.

Entry requirements
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 2-9) Essential
Desired skills and personal qualities
Attention to detail, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Team working, Initiative
Training to be provided
The learner will be studying the Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to West Suffolk College.
Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
Things to consider
Four days in workshop with one day at college
Future Prospects
If the apprenticeship is a success, a full-time role will be offered to you. You will then be given the opportunity to manufacture an item from plain timber into a finished product with little guidance.
