General engineering, including fabrication, machining, assembly, and site installation, predominantly in the water treatment industry. Factories in Manchester and Ely Cambs. Installation is throughout the UK. Currently looking for an apprentice Fabricator Welder to join the team.
Duties will include:
Marking out, drilling, forming, tacking, welding, grinding, measuring, etc.

When fully skilled they will join a team of 10 other fabricator/welders
Entry requirements
GCSE Grades 3-9 in Maths and English - Essential.

Training to be Provided
The learner will be studying the Welder Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to the NCTC.
Things to consider
Working in a heated factory, but it is cold in winter and hot in the summer, at times. Will be trained to use an overheard crane – up to10 tonnes. Mandatory PPE includes hearing protection, glasses and steel toecap boots. Variety of work, little repetition. Could be asked to help on site, or in our Watermark Projects division, if interested.
Future Prospects
We would only do this journey with an apprentice, with a view to them becoming a full-time employed member of the team.
