We are an independent, privately owned company employing in excess of 2000 colleagues who are recognised as a key ingredient to the business success and growth. Experienced, proactive management and staff are responsible for operating over 1000 vehicles and 1400 trailers from 32 locations.  The head office site at Newmarket extends to 40 acres, which includes 500,000 sq ft of temperature controlled storage for 80,000 pallets, a division of the refrigerated transport fleet and PPL, our processing and packing operations.

Alongside our regular driving vacancies we have expanded into offering a Driver Development Programme and LGV Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Our Driver Development Programme is for those who have either a Category B (car) or Category C (Rigid) licence and would like to obtain their Category C+E licence. After submitting an application the next step would be an interview in which the programme is explained and the different pathways are discussed. There will also be an assessment, which will take approximately 3 hours. This is slightly different to the apprenticeship as the majority of the cost is paid for by you through your wages with the rest being subsidised by Turners if you remain in Employment with us for two years after gaining your Category CE licence There will also be an assessment, which will take approximately 3 hours.

Our Apprenticeship Programme is a fantastic opportunity which will enable you to gain your Category C and C&E licence alongside on job training whilst learning the foundations of the business. Throughout your level 2 apprenticeship programme over a 13 month period you will have support on a day to day basis from our in house training team as well as a dedicated delivery coach from our Apprenticeship provider GTG Training. There is no cost to you to achieve your licences and you can potentially obtain your CAT C licence between weeks 9-16. Moreover, earning potential increases within 9 weeks of you starting the programme along with potential increases in salary in line with licence acquisitions. 

Whilst gaining your licences you will work in other areas of the business including: gatehouse, wash Cover & shunting, loading bay/picking in the Coldstore warehouse and job shadowing with other drivers. Upon completion of the programme a permanent contract could be offered.

Entry requirements for the programme are a valid full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year) with a maximum of 3 points held against the licence and GCSE grades of E and above (or the equivalent).

Aside from driving we have many office based vacancies including Transport Co-ordinators, Stock Control and Administrative roles. Some of our depots also have Workshop and Warehouse vacancies.
