About Us

We support partners and local organisations to work towards a healthier, well educated population and a great place to live with better prospects of employment.
Henderson Trust is a local charity that aims to improve the lives of local people and the environment in the areas of Marlpit, Larkman, North and West Earlham in West Norwich (UK). Henderson Trust is particularly important to the local community because it works with them and empowers them to improve their lives.

Henderson Trust is funded from a variety of sources whilst the majority of its income comes from the Henderson Business Centre. This makes it a unique and sustainable charity right in the heart of the community.

The income generated from the management of the Henderson Business Centre and the Trust’s other assets is allocated to activities and projects that significantly benefit local people.  Where appropriate, the Trust also seeks funding from other national and local sources to meet specific identified needs.

The Trust is guided by a Board of Trustees who are appointed to help make important strategic decisions about how our funding should be used.  Many of the trustees are local residents or work in the Henderson Trust area.

As well as the Business Centre, Henderson Trust owns the local fire station and owns and manages the Henderson Community Park on Ivy Road. The park offers the community a pleasant, well-kept green space with numerous, safe play and recreational facilities.

The Trust runs, manages and supports a range of activities and projects in the four following areas of need:

  • Health
  • Education and Training
  • Local Environment and Community
  • Work and Business
