We are proud to be a comprehensive school, where students from all backgrounds and abilities can come together to be part of our school. Students can be proud to be a member of the Felixstowe School community, and of the wider community within Felixstowe. We want our students to achieve their full potential, enjoying an education that develops their skills and enhances their strengths and aptitudes. We also recognise that each student is part of a wider, national and global community outside of Felixstowe, and to this end we want our students also to develop into outstanding citizens, and contribute to the society in which they live.

Attendance to school is incredibly important; we know that students who attend at least 95% of the time have much better outcomes, and develop the habits that will serve them well in their adult lives. Our attendance team and the wider school team are here to support you with this.

The service that our school provides is the singularly most important service a family can receive, and we strongly believe that this service is best delivered in partnership with parents and families. As a team, we can build strong foundations that cross both home and school, so that our children can go on to happy and successful futures as adults, and always remember that they are, at heart, Felixstownians.

Sixth Form

In approaching the next two pivotal years of your life, you need to be in an environment that is stimulating and challenging – where you will be rewarded you so that you can thrive.

We know that Felixstowe School will give you all of this and more.

We offer a variety of A-Level and vocational subjects and our mature learning facilities will provide you with the perfect physical space for learning; allowing you to be independent and able to study at a time and pace that suits your needs.

In recent years our exam results have highlighted that all Felixstowe School students can achieve top grades within key subjects. Many of our students have gone on to excellent universities, exciting apprenticeships, or first choice jobs. 

Our high expectations and emphasis on a growth mindset for academic progress ensure we offer the best possible holistic Sixth Form education available. We want you to fully immerse yourself in Sixth Form life, so that you make a difference and shape our unique community.

You will engage in a wide range of enrichment activities to develop your learning and leadership skills, including working with younger students, supporting the community and taking part in several exciting opportunities.
