Apprenticeships
We offer apprenticeships through Access Industry.
Apprenticeships offer a different kind of educational experience to traditional BTECs and A Levels, allowing you to ‘learn while you earn’. When you sign up to an apprenticeship, you are employed by an organisation and learn both ‘on the job’ within the workplace, and via our online learning platform with support from industry specialists – and you earn a salary as you would with regular employment.

Our story
Access Creative College [ACC] is the UK’s largest national independent training provider with 30 years of experience in educating creative 16-18 and 19+ year-olds. The college, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2022, has over 2000 learners studying at campuses in Birmingham, Bristol, Lincoln, London, Manchester, Norwich, and Plymouth.
Learning with us is an exciting and unique experience. We are industry-focused aimed at getting students into the creative industries by helping them to develop the technical skills needed for their chosen career.
Our staff are all industry-experienced, and they get to know who you are and what you want to achieve. We have a proven track record of students going on to university and into the industry (Ed Sheeran, Let's Eat Grandma, Jess Glyne, Ria Ritchie and the owners of Takeover Entertainment - Tinchy Stryder, Wiley etc.).
Access Creative College Norwich runs from a dedicated site, the former ITV studios, Epic on Magdalen Street. The site includes fully-equipped sound-treated rehearsal rooms complete with drum kits, bass and guitar amps, keyboards and PA systems. Two Recording studios, each with separate live and control rooms. The studios have a mixing desk range of microphones to enable a professional studio environment and enable the production of professional standard recordings. The tech suites are complete with Apple computers running Logic software with MIDI controller keyboards. We have fully equipped computer labs with Overclockers to use software like Unity, Construct 3, and Blender. Our IMac suites have access to the full Adobe Creative Suite and green screen technology and our media studio is a fully functioning photography suite.
In March 2022, Access Creative College was awarded a ‘Good’ grade in a full Ofsted inspection. Inspectors highlighted the following key findings:
- Tutors use their comprehensive and up-to-date industrial and commercial experience to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Learners benefit from extensive enrichment activities and work-experience opportunities with excellent employers.
- Learners receive particularly well-tailored, individual support that helps them to progress and achieve well.
- Learners develop their confidence and are highly motivated to gain specialist skills in the music industry.
